Life gets busy, and it’s easy to get through a whole day without stopping to reflect. Each day, this Islamic Quote of the Day shares one Qur’an verse or a hadith with a traceable source, along with a short explanation and a practical way to apply its lesson. It takes about a minute to read. Topics include patience, gratitude, self-discipline, trust in Allah, good character, repentance, mercy, and other aspects of everyday faith.
How We Source Our Reminders
Every Qur’an verse is cited by surah and ayah number. Every hadith is identified by its collection and hadith number, with its grading—such as sahih or hasan—given when established by recognized hadith scholars.
We do not publish viral sayings with no traceable source, and we do not attribute unverified words to the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, his Companions (may Allah be pleased with them), or Islamic scholars. When a scholar’s explanation is included, we clearly identify it as scholarly commentary and keep it separate from the Qur’an and hadith.
Our explanations may draw on established works of tafsir, such as Tafsir Ibn Kathir and Tafsir al-Sa‘di, and recognized hadith commentaries, such as Ibn Hajar’s Fath al-Bari and al-Nawawi’s commentary on Sahih Muslim. The sources used for each reminder are listed with it so you can check them yourself.
